Please find below our Booking Terms and Conditions. When your pet comes to stay we will provide you with a paper copy to sign on the day. 

Terms and conditions

On arrival owners must produce an up to date annual booster & Kennel cough vaccination certificate. Initial vaccinations must be administered four weeks prior to boarding, subsequent booster vaccinations must be administered a minimum of 14 days prior to boarding.

Your pet can only be accepted for boarding if it is in good health and you are able to produce a Certificate confirming your pet’s inoculations are up to date.  No dog can be accepted for boarding unless it has been inoculated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis and Parvo Virus, and Kennel Cough.  No cat can be accepted for boarding unless it has been inoculated against Feline Enteritis, Feline Panleukopenia, and against Feline Respiratory Viruses (Feline Herpes Virus and Feline Calici Virus).


We require proof by signature with the dates of broad spectrum de-worming and external parasite/ flea and tick treatment given.

If on arrival the health of any dog or cat is cause for concern we reserve the right to refuse admission.

Any dog or cat requiring veterinary attention, (in the opinion of kennel management) will be taken to your own vet, (if local) during opening hours. Out of hours or non-local clients will be treated by our local veterinary practise; Flookersbrook Vets.  Owners will be liable for all consultation, treatment and travel costs. Payment must be made in full before the dog or cat can be released. Any dog or cat requiring veterinary attention after 48 hours of leaving the kennels is not covered by our insurers.

The food we provide is included in the price. If you prefer to bring your pet’s own food, you are welcome to do so. However there will be no reduction in the fee.

All dogs must have a collar with identification tag, no choke chains please.

Dogs and cats may share a kennel/pen, only if from the same family, supported by written consent, accepting that they may need to be separated, sharing rate will then no longer apply.

No dog or cat will be released unless payment is received in full.

Fees are charged at a daily rate depending on the time of arrival and departure.   Should an animal be collected before the booked departure date, the reserved occupancy fee will be charged.  Payment is required in full upon collection.– cheques will be accepted for advance deposits ONLY.

Upon booking we require a 20% non-refundable deposit.

Any cancellation not notified within 48 hours of commencement of the booking will be liable to payment of 50% of the total booking value. Any customers failing to honour a booking without any notification will be liable for payment in full.

Any dog or cat not collected within 5 days of departure date will be dealt with at the discretion of the management. The owners will be liable for all costs incurred.

On the day of arrival you will be given the following choices:

  • I DO/DO NOT WISH MY DOGS TO SOCIALISE WITH OTHER DOGS (Any dog injured during group walks is not covered with our insurance)
  • I DO/DO NOT WISH MY DOG(S)/CAT(S) TO HAVE TOYS OR CAT BASKETS. (The kennels is not responsible for any lost items.)

On the day of arrival we will also require the following consent: 

  • I give consent for my records to be held by the kennels both in paper & computer format for at least 3 years or until stated by me whichever is the longer. They will not be disclosed to any third party.
